I am an independent graphic designer based in Salem, Oregon.
I got my start in graphic design in 1994, and have been an independent designer since 1998. I have worked in a number of printing environments as a layout/prepress artist. That experience allows me to create practical designs that work visually and technically. I understand prepress workflow, so I am able to avoid common design mistakes that can cause costly problems on the press. I often hear from printers that the artwork files I provide for my clients are the easiest and most print-friendly files they’ve ever dealt with.
I have served as Art Director for two publications: Expressions, a regional magazine based in Franklin, North Carolina, and the nationally distributed lifestyle magazine Rustic Elegance.
My interests include music, film, art, history and science. I read a lot, and tend to accumulate books.
